To those that play on Nightmare: what do you find fun about it?
I just mainly play on uv with pistol start, though I've heard from a lot that while nightmare difficulty is meant to be a joke, it's pretty well-balanced still? Am not too big of a fan of re spawning enemies myself, but if there is something genuinely interesting about it, then I'd love to hear why I should try it out.

Nightmare gives you double Ammo from pick ups, Fast Monsters is enabled, so they move very fast and will always attack you the instant they are with in range, in a way this makes the enemy more consistent and predicable in how they behave. So this on top of the respawning monsters it encourages a much more fast and loose playstyle, you have to grab the Resources you can, cut a path though enemies, every second you spend standing in place is another monster respawning, so you really got to move.

If you're the kind of player who typically tries to get 100% in the levels, Nightmare encourages almost doing the opposite, where you're really just trying to survive to the end, it's an interesting challenge when you feel the game has gotten too easy on UV. But if you prefer not having respawning enemies, then you can still enable Fast Monsters on UV for a somewhat similar experience.

It’s the speed that I like. Dodging fast projectiles, the pressure to move quickly through rooms before enemies respawn, the strategic element of planning your route through levels to hit the important areas while minimizing your exposure to damage. It’s a very different game on Nightmare, and it’s fun when I’m in the mood to handle the pressure.
