I'd recommend keeping it that way.

the actual doom movies are called 'evil dead 2', 'aliens' and 'army of darkness.'

And A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 and 4 and 4 and 5 and 6 use the Hellish corrupted stuff in the old 1428 Elm street house and the hellish boiler room and church, might of inspired the half corrupted Deimos moon base and Hell itself in DOOM.

where does the thing's video game falls into the doom cinematic universe

If you are gonna watch one of the movies, watch the 2005 one. Though not amazing, it understands the source material a slight bit better.

2019's Annihilation is just complete underbudget, straight to dvd slop. Even Id wanted nothing to do with it officially.

obviously the thing is mortimer mcmire's escaped test subject because if he can kill/brainwash it then he can kill arbitrarily many creatures, with macready and blake demonstrating transcendent supremacy over flesh causing mortimer to found the UAC and fund its research into teleporters, as well as cyborgs to supplement the conquered Thing. obviously this means the strogg are literally wolfenstein 3d germans who've continued mech suit research, with AH being a failed MM clone he made.

Please ignore all of the elitist morons that are saying what they are saying on here, as they do not understand the source material of the films even more than the people that made the Doom films. Even the actual Doom video game lore contradicts itself, and yet they conveniently remain silent when THAT information is exposed. Also, if ignoring them does not help, then you should expose them for who they really are in their lives. You go see what you like to see and you should also form your own opinions on the matter. Also, the movies are not as horrible as they say, as I have seen worse video game to movie adaptations before, as WarCraft is a good example of what NOT to do with a video game to movie adaptation, even more so than the 1993 Super Mario Brothers movie.

ghosts of mars is probably worse than either doom movie and i recommended it.

or, watch and enjoy all movies ever and realize even having opinions at all is a snare for vanity.

or, watch no movies ever and live a life of purpose.

the list of options goes on.

ghosts of mars lmao.

Plus, it's at least amusing with its camp. Evil Dwayne Johnson is pretty funny.
