DOOM + DOOM II

Sigil II w/ Thorr Ost Question
Hey! So I'm trying to play the Sigil II wad through DOOM 1 + DOOM 2, the one with the alternative Thorr soundtrack.

The wad itself runs, but there's no music. I've tried running the vanilla wad, and the midi music worked perfectly. Are the Thorr (and by extension, Buckethead for Sigil I which I haven't tried yet) wads not compatible?
Is there another way to load it? I've just been using the built in Mod menu when you're at the title screen of a game, the one that leads to a folder.

The wad runs perfectly (with music) in source ports like Prboom+ or Woof!, but I'd like to not use those if I can avoid it. I like having all my DOOM stuff in one place, and 1 + 2 is a super convenient way even compared to ZDL since it already has all the DoS stuff right off the bat.

--------

EDIT: Got it working! I'm just going to leave some instructions in case anyone in the future has this issue and finds this thread:
-Download SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.wad from Romero's store
-Open it in Slade 3
-Pull the mp3 files from it, throw them into Audacity then export them as .ogg files
-Throw them back into the wad, delete the old .mp3 files
-Save
-Load up the wad through either the ingame mod folder, or by throwing it into the rereleases folder and doing so through two commands (Hit the ` key to open the console while DOOM 1 is loaded up before entering commands):

d_pwads SIGIL_II_MP3_V1_0.wad
refreshgame

The port CAN load multiple pwads at once, but not via the menu. You'd need to use console commands.

Bit of an explanation here.

Suppose the question is what format the audio is in. This port only really seems to do ogg if it's not midi. If you go download a copy of the tool Slade3 you can open the music wad and check the audio format.

The music was all in mp3 format! I converted them to .ogg using audacity and threw them back into the wad.

It still works when I use PrBoom+, but even the .ogg files aren't working in Doom 1 + Doom 2.

Where did you put the wad?

Or you could just ask here

I put it in the re-release folder like the topic you linked to mentioned.
Ran the command and the wad opened fine, just still no music. Both before and after converting them all to ogg and reimplementing them with slade.

Odd. I haven't messed with audio replacement in this engine. I know the extras wad with the Andrew Hulschult soundtrack has tags for which map is used. Look into that maybe?
I got it working!
I don't actually know what I did differently. I tried it again (fresh wad, fresh swapout of mp3 to ogg files, fresh replacement into the rereleases folder) and it worked. Maybe I forgot to save it to the right folder and didn't realize it?

Works when both selecting from the mod menu, and when manually typing the d_pwads command. Which btw, huge thanks for this Seamus! I don't need it for Sigil II in the end, but I did actually manage to get the Plutonia MIDI wad working this way! Before it would just boot me to doom 1s title with no change when loading it from the mod menu.

Glad you got it working.
Might be a stupid question but how did you change line in console command?

Change line?
You can't start a new line if that's what you're asking (like hitting the enter key would for most programs)

You type each command in separately, so it goes:

d_pwads SIGIL_II_V1_0.wad (or any wad name here, type it exact as the file)
[hit enter]
resfreshgame
[hit enter]
