It's literally part of this re-release with all the levels in order, how is this an issue?

I don't think it's a big deal since the Master Levels were included in the DOOM II download, but titles straight-up disappearing from your personal library is always a worry.

I don't think losing +1 game is worth enough, but let's not be sad that Master Levels is already included in Doom 2 rather than spending a bunch of money for the old bundle right?
So this isn't a new development? This is you complaining about the thing from two years ago?
Well, that changes my take then. Get over it; you still have the Master Levels through the DOOM II listing, so you lost nothing other than a separate entry for them on your Steam library, which is hardly worth giving a crap about in this case.
When this becomes common, your digital games disappearing from the library without warning or anything, I want to see if you will support this type of practice. This is not normal, if you support this today, you will regret it in the future.
It disappeared for some accounts and not others, very strange.
Here, though, all they basically did was declutter your Steam library. You lost literally nothing, as Master Level's original DOS release could still all be found in DOOM II's files, and IIRC it didn't even track playtime.
Unless you just really, really wanted Master Levels; the glorified DLC to be a separate game in your library, there's nothing to mourn or really to complain about here.

I guess I'm just not seeing what anyone has actually lost due to this consolidation.
Which, if that's the case, I hope they also argue for all the betas to games that got permanently removed when the beta periods ended to be re-added to your account, for just one example. Which L4D2 owner doesn't want the pre-order exclusive two level demo of Left 4 Dead 2 (that you also couldn't play past a couple weeks IIRC) to be permanently in their library?
I actually only noticed I don't have the standalone Master Levels anymore today, and don't know when it was removed from my library, but I think last year it was still there.
