LAN does not work :C
Me and my fren are attempting to do a LAN Coop run, however when either of us attempt to start a lobby we cant join each other. We are both on the same network, obviously so this shouldn't be an issue. He is on ps5 however and i hope crossplay isnt preventing LAN from working.

I am having the same Issue with my switch and computer, I really cant figure out the problem. I have crossplay enabled on both devices and firewall is allowed on my computer so it is quite the strange issue

Yeah, same on PS4 and PC, crossplay and all enabled I wish LAN could work, splitscreen is nicer with 2 players rather than 3/4, and player with most preference for keyboard and mouse could use it, as well as giving a mighty option in general.

Switch + Steam Deck crossplay coop also not possible via LAN. We created a private online lobby with room code instead, that works. I wonder if it has something to do with the respective Bethesda account IDs.

LAN (or Local Area Network) usually requires 2 or more devices to have wired connections, both connected to the same router via Ethernet Cables usually

Had this same issue trying to do LAN between PC (ethernet) and Switch (wifi). Two PCs on ethernet worked through. Ended up just using the Online option for PC + Switch.

Pretty sure LAN doesn't support crossplay

LAN crossplay is only allowed between Xbox and PC; the Playstation and Switch cannot connect to any other platforms over LAN per platform policies, and thus can only crossplay online.

There is no requirement for using Ethernet for LAN, wifi will work as long as the above is respected.

The lack of a Lan option in the Console version is kinda pathetic, probably a Sony thing they like nintendo only want you to play things how they see it with $$$.

You seem to have mixed up something.
Doom has LAN on all consoles, infact the Switch even has two different local network options, the second being ad-hoc. These options are presented front and center in the multiplayer menu. Identical to Quake2, even.
