I didn't really even think of the FOV before, but now that I have the option, any opinions about the sweet spot?

The sweet spot for FOV is whatever you feel is good for you.

For most people the sweet spot of FOV for a FPS is between 90 - 100. I’m doing 96 on the Steam Deck at the moment which works well for me. Just remember that when you increase the FOV too much you tend to get stretched textures and environments which produces a fishbowl like distortion to the image. I’d recommend starting at 90 and increasing it one or two points until you find what personally works best for you.
