I've tried Legacy of Rust in both AceCorp Launcher and ZDL 3-1.1, and I still get the base Legacy of Rust game without the new monster and texture sprites loading in. I have GZDoom as my source port, Doom II as my Iwad, and id1, id1-res, id1-weap, and extras.wad as my external files. LoR episodes load but not new sprites. What's wrong with my setup?

Only load id1.wad the others arent required.
Bingo. Latest version of Gzdoom did the trick. Didn't even need ZDL. Just grabbed id1.wad and dropped into Gzdoom, and it loaded with all the sprites. Doom2 in the same folder of course. My thanks to you both, and hopefully this helps others!
