When I put the game the game give me 2 option doom and doom2 also DOS what does DOS mean?

Born in 85. I seriously miss those days. My Uncle lived across the street and he had 4 computers hooked up on a lan and we would game it up. DOOM/DOOM2, Heretic, and Hexen all have special places in my heart because of it.

I'm almost 40 and wouldn't have known much of anything about DOS, let alone how to navigate it if it weren't for projects like DOSBox. It stands for Dirty Old SIut, right?

It is what came before Windows was out even before old Windows 3.0. Disk Operating System. It used to fit on 2 or 3 floppy disks if I remember correctly.
