PS1 version leaned heavily into colored sector lighting. Does this port include colored lighting? If so, I could see it being done. I doubt id read the forums here though. Not sure how you'd get in touch with them.

So i don't think it has anything to do with technical limitations but maybe with license issues.
What i liked psx over the pc version even back in the day is the soundtrack, while the PC version made feel like i was unstoppable. The PSX soundtrack made feel like i was truly in a doomed situation

Rather I worked out how to use it as an alternative to the original dosbox.exe in this Steam game.
You could just try Psydoom off Steam using its own Launcher, but this way you can play the remastered Steam game and psydoom as well by just using the steam launch options.
It was an idea I had and it works.
