Teenage me in the mid-90s would have been absolutely confused and flabbergasted with the modern WASD and mouse aim control scheme.
I played Doom with the arrow keys. Ctrl to shoot. Shift to run. Space to open doors. Alt to strafe with the arrows instead of turning.
Doom traditionally does not of course, but it's 2024 and we have things like GZDoom, so I can see why people would want it at least.

doom hasnt been rendered 2D in so long... that perspective stuff doesnt apply anymore, even duke nukem isnt rendered that way anymore
