Sigil - Unspeakable Persecution bug

After getting the red key and lowering red bars, you descend into a room with imps standing on the giant "staircase". The wall is supposed to move at this point, revealing a chainsaw, but nothing happens in my case and I'm left trapped in this chamber. Does anybody know why this happens? Also, invulnerability powerup next to red bars is unreachable for the same reason.

Have you tried stepping in the red light area? Also for the Invuln, you needed to raise all the red bars, not just 1 or so

I tried it once again, I got the powerup (surprisingly long wait, though) and the walls in the room below also opened. Then I got killed in an ambush down there and reloaded my save. This time only the powerup door opened. Seems quite random, I'll try again tomorrow. I can only imagine how much this would piss off the "pistol start" players.

Update: I did it somehow, but it took multiple reloads. No idea what causes this, but it's advisable to save beforehand just in case.
