Chainsaw Achievement counter not working
I have a problem with the "Until It Is Done" achievement: To achieve this, I have to kill 100 enemies with the chainsaw. But whenever I go into the achievement section of the main menu, the counter for it hasn't gone above zero. So I have no way of knowing how many chainsaw kills I did so far. Is this a bug that needs fixing?

It only registers those kill for DOOM II. I tried forever on Ultimate DOOM and had the same issue.

Do it in Doom 2.

Then why does it have to be Doom II and not just the whole package in general?

As I understand it, it's originally an achievement on consoles for DooM II and they just couldn't be bothered to specify which game it was for when cobbling the game together in this recent update.

I was wondering if a bug was to blame. Maybe we should ask Bethesda, NightDive and the like to iron that bug out.

Can confirm. I've played every version of Doom and Doom II including all the releases on newer engines and such. One of the versions before Doom + Doom II had achievements and they were split into two categories with specific achieves for Doom and specific ones for Doom II. The chainsaw one was a Doom II achievement. That must have carried over to this one, too. I had completely forgotten about it since then and also tried fruitlessly for a bit to get it in Doom before remembering this.

All things considered, I'm glad they carried that over from consoles and no the "Not So Bad!" achievement (complete Doom in Nightmare difficulty in Co-Op) :lunar2019deadpanpig:.

Only thing missing now is knowing how exactly "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" works, athough this one is probably just a bug.

Ohhhh gods I think Not So Bad is literally the only one that kept me from 100% on that version. LMAO

The Only Thing They Fear Is You just checks if you're at 100% kills/secrets and haven't taken damage once since the map was initially loaded. This is why quickloading after taking damage still invalidates it and is also why the cheese method is getting to the exit, saving, entering the next map, and then loading your previous save and exiting again.

It only checks for 100% Kills, Secrets are not needed.

If you don't use quickload and use normal save and load, it resets.
I got that achievement going slow and if i was hit, "esc" and then load
