This secret has been broken ever since its original Master Levels release. The only feasible way to get it is to possibly exploit an engine bug where you are on top of the platform of the BFG (via an Archvile Jump) then save and reload with over 50 percent of your body over the platform which will shunt you into the floor triggering the secret, the same issue happened with another of Dr. Sleep’s levels, E4M7.
Thats why im surprised nobody bothered to fix for this new kinda Definitive Doom edition. Obviously its not a big problem for another ports.
They also wish to keep it as vanilla as possible, which is why a lot of other older mapping bugs weren’t fixed (Map 15 Doom 2, E4M3, Map 15 TNT, what have you).
