Game keeps crashing when I play
Hey, game crashes randomly and I have no idea why, completely restarts the computer. Ive tried out some other games and works fine, so I dont think its an overheating issue.

Complete restarts like that are almost always a result of one of the following:
1) Inadequate power supply wattage or malfunctioning power supply.
2) Hardware issue with GPU, CPU, RAM, etc.
3) Overheating.
4) Driver and firmware bugs (GPU, mainboard, etc)

Im not too knowledge about PC issues, how do I test those out?

I'm getting a lot of crashes too whenever I try to leave a game in multiplayer

I get random crashes. Sometimes when I try to just go into single player or when I try to get into options. It's really weird.

GPU: RX 7900 XT.
I got crashes on start (blue screen + PC restarts the moment I start the game). Reproducible every time. Found out I needed to downgrade my AMD GPU drivers back to 24.5.1, fixed it.
Unrelated, but please note that this also fixed Oculus Quest Link, which broke when I upgraded from <can't remember exact version> to 24.7.1.

Hello, same here : I start the game on my PC.

Ryzen 7 5800X (PBO with minus 30 on all cores)
32Gb (2x16Gb Corsair DDR4@3600MHz XMP)
Windows 11 23H2

And after some minutes/seconds KABOOM ! my PC screen goes black (no rebooting or switching off message from windows) and the machine reboots. All my other games works fine, the machine is on almost 24/7.

DOOM 1+ 2 works fine on my old machine (intel i7 6700k OC'd @4.6Ghz, 16Gb /2x8Gb DDR4@3200Mhz XMP ; Windows 10 22H2)

you can get clues about windows crashes using "View Reliability History" (it's embedded, no downloading any suspicious apps)
push "Windows key" and "R" to open 'Run program' dialog box --> perfmon.exe /rel

Well almost good news everyone ! I have tried on my Ryzen 7 5800X but this time from my Arch linux installation (fully updated, zen kernel as always) and the game works fine (I've been fraggin some bad guys for a while) so it's definetly "not fully hardware" related (same machine, different OS).

@benakenobi : I'll try that. What seems really weird is that, my windows 11 install cannot be cleaner. No third party software is installed, apart from my GPU drivers (RX5600XT with latest AMD drivers 2024-10-01).

[EDIT] While gaming under linux, my PC did exactly what it does under W11. PC crashed and rebooted. I'm speechless.
I'm having the same issue. The game just crashes and closes, but nothing else happens, also it only happens with Doom 1993.
Same here!
I played a lot this game in the previous months and never had crashes.
I played Doom 1, 2 and Thy Flesh Consumed.
Now I'm playing TNT: Evilution and I have a lot of crashes when I open the map..
some help?
