(be careful: I playtested the map with GZDoom and it was nice. But later my whole PC crashed in the very beginning of the map. I didn't try yet to recreate this crash. But the quality of the map is very good, catches the good old doom 3 feeling!
The creator had a older map called UDoom3.wad. But I cannot find a working download for this map on the internet anymore. Even webarchive.org cannot help there.
But who knows how the quality of the lost map was.
Here is the old thread, I found it because I was searching for a doom 3 remake within the old engine: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=28887
This mod looks nice to play with the doom 3 weapons:

Knee-deep in Zdoom.
Remake of episode 1 of Doom and holy sh*t is it detailed. Be warned, lots of backtracking and you can get lost as you progress through the levels.
Edit: Ah I knew already Knee-Deep in ZDoom. Anyway thanks.^^
