Can you change the keyboard Controls??
I downloaded Doom from Steam because the Dosbox version only had episode 1, but when I tried to play the Steam version the Arrow Keys no longer work to move around, it's now W and S to move forward and backward. The Dosbox version came with a setup.exe which you can use to edit things, but the Steam version doesn't. I'm not happy that I've just paid for this and the controls are not what they should be and it's become unplayable. On the "Read Me" screen in the game it clearly says that the Arrow Keys are for moving around so I don't understand why they would be different. Any help or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

My nephew wrote a fix for this in C# .NET.
Gimme a minute. ❤️🤓😎💾📡
Note: "This is just episode one (Shareware), unless you have legit DOOM and copy the IWAD into the PrBoom folder. No plasma rifle or BFG9000 in shareware either."

I think he added an Open Folder... button to make the process easier. 😀🤓💾☎️📱

On Steam I'm pretty sure if you choose to launch with classic controls, you'll be able to use the arrow keys. If not, you can use a source port to change the controls.

Ah ok how do you launch with classic controls? When I click on the application it just opens, there doesn't appear to be a way of changing the controls

Thanks for the reply, so if I download this what do I need to do? Sorry I'm not particularly knowledgeable on this sort of thing.

When you press the "Play" button in the Steam client, something should pop up giving you two options. The first option is "Play The Ultimate DOOM", and the second one is "Launch Ultimate DOOM with classic controls".

If you don't see it, then I would recommend just downloading a source port, which will let you remap the controls to whatever you want them to be. Personally I use ZDOOM, which you can download here:
