Windows 10?
I'm thinking of getting this along with 2 and was wondering if it works on Windows 10 without having to download a source port.

There are ways to get it to work without one but the game is far superior with one. It gives you freelook, jumping, crouching, and a ♥♥♥♥ load of settings to tinker with. Overall Doom is a much more enjoyable experience with a source port but if you go onto youtube and look it up you'll find dosens of videos if you don't want to go through the trouble of installing the source port.

If you do decide to go with the source port then I reccomend GZDoom. If you want to get it installed just save it to your computer then go into your doom files using the steam directory. Then extract the files into the doom folder and rename Dosbox to Dosbox_Backup and rename GZDoom to Dosbox and the game should run fine.

If you want free look, mouse controls, jumping, crouching, etc. Then you will have to press enter and tweak all of the settings to your liking.

Building off of ^^^, if you only want to play Doom as it was in 1993, use the Chocolate Doom source-port.

If you want mods, GZDoom or Zandronum are your best bets.

Runs fine on Windows 10. Only modification I made was that I added novert.com to the game, this disables vertical mouse movement (by default vertical mouse movement acts as forward/backward movement). You can always check pcgamingwiki for known issues with a pc game.
