Unsupported on Steam Deck?
Why is something so easily emulated not supported for Steam Deck?

EDIT: Works just fine, had maybe 1 crash playing through the whole game

It runs just fine despite what it says.

No problem, ive hardly played much since getting mine, just testing what they claim is unsupported really.

Now that I got mine in, can confirm it works well. Though it has crashing issues from time to time so I'm assuming thats why its unsupported. Proton GE seems to fix it though

Some games strangely don’t show up for the “deck compatibility” library despite running and working just fine, regardless if it’s been optimized or not. Steam Deck is a PC after all, technically, so even then there’d probably be a workaround.

Hey I have a problem launching this game specifically. It was working perfectly fine at first on the steam deck but now it won’t even give me the option to pick which version I want to play and it doesn’t even show the screen that says synchronizing with cloud any more. I tried setting the proton experimental option and I even uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still didn’t work. Any suggestions?

What are you talking about? Gzdoom is in the flathub. And Chocolate Doom, and Crispy Doom and the Doomsday Engine (I didn't know that was still around) and Zandronum.

Bethesda's trash port might not work, but there's literally no reason to ever use that. Just copy the wad files.

Yeah it seems strange. Doom not supported, but Doom 2 is. Calling BS
