I remember I used to like this one and listened quite often instead of the vanilla OST.
To create your own music wad do next.
Decide are you playing Ultimate or Doom 2. That's a lot of changes.
In Ultimate Doom every music change is straight forward - e1m1.mid is for e1m1 music and etc.
For Doom 2 you must look wikia's list, to know which name stands for what level. For example D_DOOM plays in MAP05 and D_DEAD for MAP10, so you must check out the list.
When you're done with the listing, pick your audio files, and rename them in your wanted order to have the same names as original music, except for file type which may be almost everything and even tracker music.
Take XWE or SLADE and make your new wad archive, or pk3 whatever. And put all the music there, it should be named the same as original game files in order to make your favourite track play in the concrete level instead of default. Save it. Open it with Brutal Doom in a source-port. And Enjoy.
