Motion Sickness
I never get motion sickness from games, but had to stop playing this after an hour or two due to nausea. any tips to reduce this? current plan is to use GeeTee's mouse controls fix and see if that helps.

I had this same issue when i played it on the xbox 360 a few years back. im trying to figure this out too. My guess is to change the graphics so they arent so...how they are. Idk how to describe them, but just so pixelly and colorful?

I think this will help because i experienced the same thing to a smaller degree after playing Halo for awhile, and switched to the remastered graphics and it went away. So theres just something about being spoiled with high def graphics, then going to the original 90s graphics and its like a chainsaw on the eyes and brain (and inner ear for some of us).

It's, probably, resolution, aliasing noise and LED matrix blur. Me too experienced this on the modern monitors in Wolf 3D while everything was good on old CRT displays.
Try to use a source-port and set resolution at least twice higher than original 320x200. Some modern ports offer mipmapping, use it as well if available.

yeah i do too unless its gzdoom or some other resolution enhancement. I found that if I play in window mode and make the window smaller i don't get sick

this is where i'd recommend a source port that doesn't conform to vanilla. higher resolution, texture filtering, higher framerates, and fov adjustments should help you

usually cranking up the visible distance helps. turn of blur, etc. sadly this doesn't apply to classic doom. I have this issue as well, even with anything in gzdoom. I set that up to stop the tilting and shaking during movement, but to no avail. resolution isn't the problem, IMHO. even fine mods with voxels and better textures show the same issue for me, which I developed kinda recently. I stopped playing classic doom because of this. I'm afraid, you don't get a better solution either.

I suspect that age may also be a factor. I never had a problem with motion sickness playing Doom back in 1993. Playing it now for over two hours does give me a headache.
