Does smooth doom make the game easier?

Smooth Doom is only supposed to "smoothen" the sprite animations (as its name implies)

It's supposed to only be cosmetic/visual

But Beautiful Doom can change the difficulty with the "modern weapons"

Dumbest, most atrocious Doom mod ever, worse than hdoom. It should be banned from existence.
