Do they stop respawning? Very annoying.

Also I just got killed by an invisibile barron of hell twice in a row. Uhh, huh???

They don't respawn unless you are playing on highest difficulty. Are you playing the first level?

Yes, but from memory I thought they did throughout or is it just the first level they do?

If you aren't playing on the highest difficulty (Nightmare!) then they never respawn, it is just enemies teleporting from one hidden room to your area, a common occurence in Thy Flesh Consumed. What you saw on the first level of episode 4 are shotgun guys teleporting from two ledges (shotty locations) which are located to the right and left of the room you spawned in. If I recall you see this in E4M5 and E4M7 a lot.
Alright good to to know thanks.
Still about as unfair as respawning enemies, and the fact that some of them are 100% invisible is just bollocks as well.

Respawning enemies on the hardest difficulty was normal for Doom back then.
And invisible enemies, too.

But sure - I can see how people in 2018 can't compute.

I realise that, but I'm not playing on the hardest.

Then enemies won't respawn.
They ambush you. It's a cheap tactic - yes. But it's how they did it back then. How I hate teleporting enemies myself. And whole walls come down and revealing a whole squad of shotgunners.

I don’t mind the way it was done in the previous 3 episodes at all as it was fairly predictable and was always fair, but teleportation right in front of you is stupid with a dozen enemies and no rhyme or reason for it. Especially when they become completely invisible, which I assume is a bug.

There is one enemy - the invisible pinky - which could be the one you mentioned. But he's mere blurry than invisible.

Nah, I know about him. I promise these guys were 100% invisible. I fired at where their projectiles were coming from and saw blood come out but they were totally invisible and were Barrons and Imps from memory.

I would suggest making a Screenshot, but since you didn't already make one...

Of what? Something that's invisible?
I don't mean to sound hostile but, I'm not an idiot, I know how video games work, so seeing a screenshot wouldn't change anything except verify that I'm telling the truth.

Obviously you are not able to understand the simplest contexts. So it didn't occur to you that the color of the blood can be an indication of the nature of the opponent. So I would revise your statement, "I'm not an idiot," because it seems to contain a touch of truth. At first I thought you were simply incapable of dealing with the old games, but by such statements you show that there is more.

You're quite the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, huh? Get a life. We're talking about video games, mate, so no need to be a prick about it. I said I had no hostile intent so your petty sarcasm is really quite unnecessary.

Thing is, you can't judge what enemy they are based on blood because they all have the same blood effect, right? Or am I mistaken? I was basing it on their projectiles and the sounds they were making. Pretty sure an easy to see transparent pinky that I've killed a hundred times in the previous 3 episodes won't be making the sounds of the Baron while shooting massive green balls at me. Probably a better indicator than what blood type they're spurting out is too.

And seriously? Take a single look at my profile. The vast majority of games I play are older games. Didn't it occur to you to actually, you know, have a look to double check you weren't mistaken before making idiotic claims? Nice profile page by the way. The whole Introduction section is quite the crack up. I could almost feel the edge cutting my wrists.

Oho. Does it start against the howling and bawling because someone on the Internet isn't singing your praises? So it almost seems like you don't care much for a factual discussion, so I'm going to just laugh at you openly because you obviously want to. But if you have no idea about the game and don't know that different opponents bleed differently...

So now I assume you're just bad and a liar, too. Prove me wrong. :^)
