DOOM + DOOM II

DOOM + DOOM II

Statistiche:
I put Sigil.wad into folder with DOOM.wad, nothing happened.
I unzipped the file, and cut and pasted the Sigil.wad and compat.wad into the Ultimate Doom folder containing the DOOM.wad, booted up the game and Sigil was not there. What did I do wrong?

I've installed GZdoom and now not only does the wad not work but the game also looks horrible =s
Then you're not setting it up properly.
How do you set it up properly? The game's supposed to look like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/190258345326673920/584497591820222514/unknown.png

But the sourceport looks like this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/190258345326673920/584497065577545732/unknown.png

The resolutions are different, try changing display options, you can mess around with aspect ratio and such.
I'm using GZdoom, no audio in game. menu music is fine, could I be missing a file? Or, should I comepletely delete gzdoom and start from scratch?

Try adjusting settings and if that fails try to extract the contents of the GZDoom zip, I lost music once and it was because one of the DLL files must have corrupted during extraction.

It's not the resolution that's the problem it's the shadows, they're supposed to be like a picture frame of rectangles that makes the game darker no matter what distance the hallway you're looking down but in this sourceport it's just like barebones nothing special lighting
Have you tried changing the sector light mode in display options<opengl renderer?

There's an option for that.
Options<Display Options<Hardware Renderer<Sector light mode

I guess if anyone can get Sigil to run on steam, post it here. Until then, I hope Romero takes notice of this problem and addresses how to fix this issue.
Did you download a source port like GZDoom into the Ultimate Doom\base folder and then delete or rename dosbox.exe and then rename GZDoom.exe to dosbox.exe, go to your library Ultimate Doom properties, in the General Tab click Set Launch Options put -iwad Doom.wad -file SIGIL.wad in and click okay. You must have SIGIL.wad and Steam's DOOM.wad in the base folder. Happy launching! It also doesn't work on Vanilla or Chocolate Doom, you need a source port that allows unlimited map pieces or something. Otherwise you have to use the inferior SIGIL_COPMAT.wad.

I used this method to get it working, but I don't have any kind of HUD.

That solved it, thanks.
lol just drag the sigil wad on to GZdoom. click play and that's it. There's no possible way that won't work

thanks for laughing at me, i wanted to run it through steam and show that i was running ultimate doom. if you do your method it just runs it through gzdoom the other way i can run it right from steam.
I think his message was intended for the OP, not you.
I got sigil to work, I think there is a downloadable link above, the sound effects don't work, someone mentioned that it could be a corruption from extracting the sound zip. But the music works and it kicks butt.
You're supposed to simply unzip the whole folder to your Doom folder and drag the SIGIL.WAD to your sourceport application, choose Ultimate Doom, and it'll work.
also, brutal doom does work with sigil. just FYI :bandit:
