Brutal Doom error

I've just installed Brutal Doom and GZDoom, but every time I try to start it up I get this:

Script error, "gzdoom.pk3:compatibility.txt" line 5:
Expected '}', got 'sectorflooroffset'.

How can I fix this?

What version of GZDoom are you using? Recent ones won't work with Brutal Doom.

I don't rember which version you need to use exactly, but in the Brutal Doom ModDB page you can download a compressed file containing the mod and the needed version of GZDoom.

I'm using version 2.11. However, I read that it will not work with The Ultimate DOOM?

It should work on the vanilla maps of Ultimate Doom. If you want to play Brutal Doom Hell on Earth, however, you need Doom 2.

Regardless, the error you're getting seems unrelated to the game you're using.

If you want to play Hell on Earth I suggest you to just download it from here:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom/downloads/brutal-doom-hell-on-earth-starter-pack

It's an unzip and play, so it shouldn't give you any problems.
