Report a translation problem
There is nothing dodgy about it just a false alarm of the firewall.
Temporarily disabling the firewall would be a quick and easy way to troubleshoot the issue. If you folks disable it and it works, then we know one of you likely accidentally clicked "cancel" or denied when the Windows prompt asking to add an exception to the firewall appeared and now, Castle Story isn't allowed through either your firewalls.
This is common for any Windows software that needs to connect to the internet.
I'm talking about the prompts that look like this (except it would say Castle Story, not Google Chrome): https://i.stack.imgur.com/rPtrd.png
If either of you declined this prompt/closed it without accepting, you'll have to manually add an exception to Castle Story in your firewall to be able to play online.
