Thanks. I've played the other games and know some of the lore of Glorantha but was just curious.
Basically, KoDP is set in around 1400. That date is set AFTER the Dawn, and Lights Going Out is set in the generation or two before the world was destroyed. And then Orlanth and his allies completed the Lightbringers Quest, and revived the world. And THEN the year counting system started again. Right now, we're in the time before time, essentially.
So, uh, call it 1600 or so years before KoDP. Something like that. There's a few factions and cultures that'll turn up later in it. One of the other clans will eventually become the Horse Spawn, for instance. And arguably we're one of the tribes that'll eventually be an Elmal worshipping clan in KoDP.
Wow. Really detailed response! Thank you. I knew some of the stuff about the world getting reborn and stuff but that fits it together better.
This game's setting is awesome.
