VERY good game[redsectorshutdown.blogspot.com], but be aware of potential bugs and how beefy your rig has to be to play it. (I also reccomend playing with a friend, but that could be the old Descent Pilor in me.. I loved that when I could get it back in the day.)

I've been playing a lot of descent lately. I would like to know if the controls can be mapped to my preferred Descent mappings. My brain is currently wired that way. Also, i was watching a youtube, and i saw the player reach a Checkpoint. So, no more insta-saves at will (a la Descent), but only checkpoints?

1) You can remap, allthough it's a good update to using descent style with a mouse, so Im not sure I would want to so much as I would get used to the new layout if I were you.

2) You can always save. In fact, the "check points" are just autosave files... and for the matter your saves never get overwritten. The only downside, you really cant delete your saves without manually doing so.

well they did make a great game. Just be warned (and I must empahsize this)... well, what kind of hardware are you running?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470, 4 gig ram, AMD Phenom II X6 3.2Ghz. Three years old, but i haven't had any trouble running anything i put on it... yet

ok.. thats actually scarilly close to what I have. You should be all set. Just be aware a few rooms will drop your frames noticably.
