Whats up with this boss? I had plenty of mobs at full hp and this sucker just killed me, without any tips what should i do? Any ideas?

Only way to handle it is to use the force field spell right when it's about to crush your tower. It has a short duration and short cooldown so you have to time it right, but it has a lot of HP so even if you manage to protect your tower it will take a long time to whittle it down. I'm not sure it's possible to beat the hand of the master without the force field spell unlocked.

Thanks for help!

You can probably kill it without forcefield using the relic that lets you repair by burning body parts. I had thousands by the time the master spawned, but you'd want a macro for spamming right click :P

Even level 1 forcefield is enough, you will have to do this many times before the end of the fight so only use forcefield once he comes to pound the tower. Then he will move to the side and summon a bunch of mobs. He only hits the tower, so your defender mobs are safe when he crashes down.

You will need to have a moderately fast few mobs with high damage and vampirism that can run around and attack the hand when it comes down. I used my titans defensively in this fight and was able to get him brought down, it just takes a while.

Seems weird that a game like this would essentially mandate that you have a specific upgrade in order to kill the boss.

How do you get so many parts though? I feel like I'm scrounging for every tiny little bit of parts and mana that I can get on the second map and it's barely enough.
Bad news: have to use the force field
Good news: if you play your cards right the fight takes several days, meaning you can grind a massive amount of gold.

@slywyn
I find that harpy parts are in extreme abundance, and it just so happens that armored harpies are easily capable of soloing most enemy spawners with some upgrades. Theyre also fast so you just set them to explore and switch them to hive killing when needed.

The forcefield spel is not actually needed to beat the boss, if you have enough library upgrades your tower can hit 45K+ hp (it hit my tower 4-5 times)

I have used the forcefield and manually controlled the giant to kill it ;-)

I beat it without the forcefield? he attacked my tower like 5 times. But I had a lot of upgrades so i guess my tower health was high enough to survive the encounter??

The damage the hand does was significantly decreased after the most recent patch. You don't need the forcefield anymore.

I killed it using 2 draconid body with random parts

Imo, full Draconid kits are one of the best recipes you can have, if you have crown of power set as a relic, you can basically have draconids flying around the map destroying lairs non-stop, nothing I've seen up to the second disc even comes close to killing them before the lair's gone and they're full health again and ready to destroy the next lair all over.

Works excellently for hand as well, only downside is that they kinda suck against bosses that do giant radials around themselves since those bosses also just do tons of damage in the first place and have those radial attacks up almost constantly.
