Max hp down

Hey ! My little brother is playing the game and it seems his character's max HP are down to 5 on most of them so he can't keep his ground at all in battle anymore, is there a way to heal max hp ?
Classical healing spells and item don't work it's cap at 5.
Also he can't find the wisps from the first quest, he his blocked at the battle at the foot of the tower on the top right of the tower district map, are they here ? I don't mind a spoil or two as i can't find any info on the web and i don't really want to watch 6 hours of walkthrough for him

You need to return to the tower and rest at the campfire. (light it with a lantern or a fire spell) As the tablet says, for each time a character is ko its max hp will decrease, it's a thing to keep in mind if a big fight is coming up.

The towers do have a few wisps, but they might still be a bit hard to do. I would recommend going through the mines (east of commoner ground) or going back through the outer keep to the west. Alternatively, going south will also unlock an alternate way to progress.
