I noticed in the game configuration file that it lists the Nvidia 7900 card. That reference might need to be redirected to whatever video card you have in your machine. I'm somewhat computer illiterate myself, and I'm looking for the actuall name of my card's driver to put that in there and see what that does.
what's your video card? mine's got a content file locked error now. can't even delete or reinstall it now.
mine's geforce 940mx...
what fix?
Tried changing that parameter to my dedicated gpu, and later to my onboard gpu, no luck...
Here are some fixes I tried after searching forums and messing with the configs myself, maybe some of them might help you:
1. checking local files integrity through steam;
2. Uninstall + delete steamapps/commom/GodMode directory + delete ClientRegistry.blob + reinstall;
3. set launch parameter "-autoconfig" through steam;
4. set launch parameter "-soft" through steam;
5. manually change game.cfg resolution to all possible reoslutions;
6. change the "video driver" parameter inside game.cfg to my onboard driver;
7. change the fullscreen parameter inside game.cfg to true (1);
8. run .exe as administrator;
9. run in compatibility mode (tried 98, XPSP2, XPSP3, Vista, Win7, Win8);
10. mixing the above fixes, and doing each one of them individually after a clean install.
