Arken Age
that final boss....
worst most grindy crap in the game. That first phase is so damn annoying. Who thought it was a good idea to put like 30 small orange dots on him that taske forever to hit, while hes spaming u with like ten different things? its not very hard just tedious. basically u just have to have enough time and syringes to beat him. I put 19 hours in, and got to the final phase and while climbing tree to deliver the final blow my controller died....well didnt wanna waste time and just watched ending on youtube. such a crap ending to a good game. not hard just annoying as hell.

I beat the final boss on my 2nd try (I first tried melee which is a no go). Then I switched to the Needler mod gun. Yeah it was kind of hard to hit some of the little dots but I had like 100 health syringes. So yeah it wasn't difficult. Jump & move to avoid damage, have enough batteries. You're supposed to climb the boss, but it's easier to just shoot it in these sections instead.

During the last phase, just run in and tap on the head, and repeat multiple times.

We've done some balancing, audio cues, visual cues, and a few other tweaks to make the final boss better that will be in the next patch. Sorry for the struggle this time around! And thanks for the feedback, Cheers, Blake -VitruviusVR

Thanks. Overall enjoyed the game and hope you can work on a sequel. I loved some of the metroidvania aspects and would love to see you expand on that.

I know you guys wanted to end the game with a bang but honestly it's just too long and really because of how many health syringes you can craft it's a trivial affair and doesn't need to be as long as it is. The second and third phase were OK but the First phase needs to be trimmed down. Maybe remove like half the amount of orange dots? I had over 60 of those health plants but didn't feel like converting them again for the final fight. It would also be nice to have an option to just skip the converting part. It was AMAZING for the first like dozen times, but became really tedious after.

Would also be cool to have a grapple hook where you could bring an enemy close to you or use it to take away their shield.

For a small team you guys did amazing! it would be so cool to see what you guys could do with a bigger team. More biomes, more enemies with specific weakness. A scanner type device like in Metroid prime that would help identify enemy weakness, or enviromental stuff, etc.

You guys are just a few steps away from a Metroid Prime like VR experience and I think it's obvious that you guys are inspired by Metroid Prime as it's one of the best games and would in itself be great for VR.

I know how to beat him, and basically did, it's just that I found it very tedious and more annoying then anything.

I got to the part at the very end where you climb the tree to deliver the final blow when my battery died and I just didn't want to waste the time crafting syringes and repeating the fight.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah very inspired by Metroid prime, I feel we can create a grapple/ gravity mechanic very unique for VR (like we've done with the climbing picks) for the sequel and would be an awesome "god power" you attained from becoming a god-like character at the end of this game. We'll try to incorporate your feedback into this game and use ideas for future games as well. Thanks! -Blake, VitruviusVR

Keep up the great work and hopefully the sales are good. Sorry for original post as it came off a bit harsh.....heat of the moment annoyance really.

One thing I think would be great for you guys to consider is contact Meta and maybe try to get funding. Basically Quest 4 will be out in less then 2 years, and you guys could start building the sequel for that platform, as I believe it will support Foveated eye tracking for all games, and it's GPU should be at least 3x from the one in quest 3 if rumours are true. You should be able to provide a PC like experience for the next Quest. Meta is always looking for talent and you guys have one of the best rated Indie games on PC and PSVR 2 right now.

Honestly with some growth, you guys could become really big as you have talent and understand VR mechanics. But, without Meta right now, it'd be very hard to make a lot of money.
Thanks for supporting PCVR and PSVR2 as I don't think the Quest 3 would be able to handle this game....but crazier things are happening, like original Bone Works coming to Meta and I thought that would be impossible.

please for the love of god PLEASE don't make the next game quest exclusive
I'd much rather pay a higher price for a PCVR experience than have to buy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ facebook headset peripheral just to play a dumbed-down version of the same game

Final Boss should be more balanced now after todays update! (Patch 1.005.000)

Thanks for the patch! It's true that phase 1 of the boss was a bit long... By the way, the patch notes allowed me to discover that there is a system of karma. Which I was completely unaware of, and which probably explains why I couldn't get the last weapon mod at Nara Sanctuary. Can you explain it?

You'll see in game now, but breaking those Green Helmets (freeing the Nara's souls) gives +3% Karma and stealing the Alloy is -5%, total Karma is now tracked in the Progress Menu
Oops, looks like I made the wrong choices (I didn't even know there were 2 options)! Thanks for the explanations.

I did the same, didn't realise until 2/3rds of the way through the game
