I've traveled overseas to Greece and went to the Aventurine HQ (which no longer exists). DFUW source code in currently in a transition to an American based company. DFUW will be coming back in Q3 of 2017. Hell yeah!

Or is it another feint like Darkfall, never seen a game release itself so many times to mediocre response everytime. Darkfall has been dying/is dead every since it started. The developers have just been stringing you poor souls along who have nothing better to do than waste your time and money on a dead game. I bet that "American" company is them.

DF Unholy Wars is not coming back. We now know from other forums that DF UW had major issues with code and hacks.

it was fans that bought the right to host the game... it is NOT a private server.

Ah I see both EU and US servers are seperate groups of fans who bought the rights for each region and are both charging a monthly fee. If the game couldn't survive under a bigger entity I doubt two rag tag groups of fans are going to be able to sustain it whilst trying to charge monthly fees. They need to re-examine the market and the way they run the game if they want any hope of getting a decent playerbase. Maybe that is not their aim though, maybe they just want a couple hundred players so they don't have to invest in server architecture and scaling and can keep a close knit community feel to the game.
