I'm sceptical on reduced loadout slots and barricade limit.

Loadout slots on multiplayer is not going to feel good and will feel like your being punished for playing with others, i feel like people wish they had more slots not less and not sure how this will make equipment feel.

Barricade limits will kill any endless mode if that's a thing and will also feel bad in multiplayer while causing an avenue for trolls, toxicity and arguments, it also just reduces the skill cap and can possibly reduce viable strategies.

I can understand the feeling on the slots. It does have implications with the rogue-like elements but yeah.

But the argument about trolls, toxicity and arguments I don't see it. It can be as bad or worse without the change. If someone wants to be uncooperative or troll in omd3 can do the same or worse by not placing any trap, placing barricades closing the path or standing on top of barricades to get them destroyed.

i guess your right that people already have the ability to troll but i'm still not sold on the idea of limited barriers in a game based on pathing enemies into your traps/kill boxes, i guess it's something I would need to try to see how it feels but it's 100% going to be contentious on launch even if it's well executed with support form Threads and skilltree.

Limiting the amount of Barricades we get necessitates the map designers not make wide open maps but rather maps we can control using barricades. So we don't actually need a lot of barricades if the maps are made to fit.

I'm ok with limited barricades as long as i can flip big guys like Ogre over them. About the slots limit, you guys can just add an achievement (70% completion like Earth Defense Force 6) or some requirements to turn that off. People always want more slots, me included 🤔

Yes, making additional slot unlocks in multiplayer (co-op) available, indeed, unlocks, would be a great idea - definitely something everybody would be shooting for.

Another thought on Barricade limitations: if most maps are *NOT* wide-bloody-open affairs, then fewer available Barricades can be more stomachable.

Frankly I would rather play Unchained over this Sweet baby inc. involved game. The Character Design was so cool in Unchained but in this game the characters looks really dull and generic in comparison. There is a game called wayfinder and after that game flopped hard the devs programmed the game from live service to solo/coop play which u don't need internet to play it, previously it was a server sided game. This was also the case with unchained. When they could manage to make wayfinder server independent. u guy's could do it too with unchained, but u guy's simply abandon Unchained.

There is no involvement with SBI and never has been.
You've seen only 4 characters out of a variety you will be able to main. There have still been quite a few not shown yet.

The game has a lot of what was good about unchained ingrained into it as the designers were big unchained fans on this project.

Hope that helps clear up some of the misinformation you stated and your concerns also!

Putting a multiplier on orc health is a bit concerning- making enemies 4x harder to kill means players may start to feel 4x less effective. Orcs must die for happy war mages.

I'm sure you've considered simply multiplying the number of orcs spawned and that had some issues. Just wanted to share that thought.

okay let me just say this was a wild nostalgia trip that i had not expected, been a long time since i saw anything about the franchise. I didn't have it on steam back in the day, i got it from the official website, but i had well over 100 hours on OMDU before it closed. I wasn't really interested in 3 due a lack of hero variety and basically no online functionality besides inviting a friend to play with, and most the reason why i played omdu was due the social aspect. So let me ask two things, are we going to have a online functionality similar to omdu, where we can simply find public games and hop in (with there also being an option for private games), and are we going to have significant (10+) hero variety? Because if so, while i am somewhat hesitant to say anything for certain, i've been looking for a replacement for omdu for around half a decade now and if this game is basically omdu but better then i'll have to keep an eye on this.

Robot entertainment censoring negative feedback be aware buyers it's a bad sign if developer doesn't want to hear any critic and just straight censoring them.

We've been replying to negative feedback and criticism.

There was someone whose thread was reported directly to Steam the other day and we saw a Valve employee took down said thread. But if you're referring directly to us, we've been very welcoming as well as explaining. Don't forget there is a difference between criticism and making false allegations. Have a lovely day!
