Robot Entertainment Disappointment! [my opinion]
Robot Entertainment is negligent in abandoning these games either by leaving them full of bugs like orcs must die! which is to this day unplayable because there are game crashes, sound bugs, animation bugs, etc... or by removing them like Orcs Must Die! Unchained which was really good, even if they could have at least left the solo mode and local co-op rather than blocking, all this work lost... In addition to these faults, Robot Entertainment supports cheating, the scoreboards are completely blown up by cheaters and no sanctions are applied, not even the deletion of impossible scores that exceed the limit of the level concerned. I have played all the orc must die! games so far, I don't particularly like the 3rd one, I won't take the DLC and I'm not ready to buy another orcs must die! until these problems are resolved.

orcs must die unchained does not start when I launch it on steam but there are modders who have created a mod to be able to replay it solo or in online multiplayer.
Orcs must die 2 has no problem it's probably the best between 1 / 2 / 3

orcs must die unchained => Mod

I can't disagree with many of your points, but something to keep in mind is that robot has always been an indie/small studio.

Omd2 came out quite soon after the first and I'd rather have new content/games than fixes for many of the non game-breaking bugs.

OMDU content was great imo, but the business model didn't work out and the game was fully online. So probably not trivial to make it offline.

The leaderboards topic is a close one to me, I used to really hunt scores but to be fair, robot did delete many times a lot of cheaters manually and also I know that very few people actually care or play for score, so is hard to argue to put more effort. New game won't have leaderboards at launch (I wouldn't know how to make them very meaningful with all the rng and how this one plays out anyway)
I agree wholeheartedly. Best we will get out of the game is 50% of what it could have been.

You still can't play full endless in OMD2 without disconnects, while 3 received only mandatory DLC and Updates.

If they only continued to support the game, the studio could have been significantly more profitable with DLC content instead of a new half-baked game every couple of years.

But wha chu gonna do... Nobody else makes this type of a game, and I'm guessing there is a profit reason for that and their reasoning not to dedicate themselves towards their own creations.
I can't say say anything about OMD1 or unchained but the inaction isn't the same as supporting cheating lol.

I don't remember seeing anyone doing anything on non PvP leaderboards in any game ever, i even remember the black ops 2 zombies leaderboards filled with cheaters, i don't think that they "support" cheating.
i have no problems running omd 1/2/3/u, replay them all the time.

Yeah, Devs has delete obvious cheaters from online scoreboards many times in Orcs 3. We have to admit it. But it looks more like removing water with a shovel when you stand in the same water and after a few minutes the water will return back (can`t find gif for it sorry).

As I wrote to you earlier, I will duplicate it. It is possible to create a good anti-cheat. The developers of this game were able to. The screenshot in this game was made in solo mode. Red words = Hacked.

Also, detailed leaderboards can also help.

Better to create any kind of leaderboards than nothing. Example, I have played over 870+ hours in both Serious Sam games (have leaderboards) and only 15 hours in Sam 4 (no leaderboards).
Availability of true leaderboards is always good end game choice. Serious Sam is similar in popularity to Orcs series by the way. Croteam is not big AAA company also. But they did it. They used "modificated VAC anti cheat" - its their words.

The points are true, but actually they do not bother me having fun and enjoy the game.
