How About Adding A Random Delay To Magic Orb And Bomb Dispenser Traps So They Don't All Go Off At The Same Time.
So I like using Magic Orb and Bomb Dispenser as they're a lot of fun but the problem is they all go off at the exact same time which makes them actually weaker as it gives ample time for an enemy to walk through a place so I often end up selling Magic Orb and Bomb Dispenser traps and then only placing them again once the wave have started so I can stagger them myself.

However it would be even better if once a wave starts all Magic Orbs and Bomb Dispensers were given a random delay before they fired. so for example the wave starts and they randomly get given a 1 to 10 second delay or something before they actually activate, this won't make a difference for the start of a wave but does allow the traps firing to be staggered so they don't all go off at the same time.

It would be especially useful when you put Bomb Dispensers near stairs, I want a somewhat consistent trickle of bombs, not to have them all dropped at the same time, that's just not very effective nor efficient.

I had just started a run yesterday to try bomb dispenser again and the synchronous timing is
frustrating. The auto-firing and delayed timing allows for some amusing stairs mechanics, but the vast majority of the ones we place don't benefit from that.

I don't know if it is possible but having it trigger when Orc is enters within X range (as if it were an autoballista) would help. With a high enough range you could still do tricks with stairs and the orcs coming into the range at different times would force them to stagger.

I wouldn't mind if the morning star wall trap acted like this. Hedge maze would be funny since i generally put some at the top of the staircase in the building with poison/tars down in the maze to soften.

Maybe in addition to giving it a random delay make it possible for it to switch modes? as in hover over the trap and press X button to make it switch between firing as soon as it's ready or firing if an enemy is within range, that way everyone's happy, though I don't know if the game engine would allow such an interaction.

I can see morning star being a lot of fun too if it just fired all the time.
I loved the bomb dispenser in OMD3. They didn’t auto explode and would continue to dispense up to 3 bombs until they hit an orc or you short them. You could make comically oversized stacks of bombs with enough dispensers, fire one shot and watch the explosion. It was disappointed to see this changed with OMDD.
