Thankyou!!!
Long time OMD fan, 100%'ed OMD3 etc. Just played this for an hour and it's EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Completed the first map on mission 1 with 1 lost rift point, made it to wave 3 or 4 on the second map, got overwhelmed and lost all my rift points.

Instead of raging, I went to buy the Briar Patch, upgraded Threshold to 5 stars, realised how many more games its going to take to max everything and I'm so happy :)

To everyone complaining, progress is made a little bit at a time, over time. It's not something you clear through immediately. You get stronger the more you play and the more you upgrade. Experiment, have fun and get excited for upgraded traps.

Thankyou! Going to spend hundreds of hours playing this one.

Edit: some quality of life changes that would be nice

- I have no idea how many waves it takes per mission. Please tell us.
- I have no idea what enemies I'm facing per mission. Please tell us.
- Kill boxes don't feel nearly as fun as the prior games. Keep in mind, I finished OMD3 with everything at max so my memories are of hilarious killboxes at max strength. We'll get there eventually as things progress, but for now, the start is a bit tedious.
- Map design is overwhelming. Even though I failed by mid-wave on mission 2, I spent WAY too much time in the second map trying to figure out how to control the pathing. It simply wasn't possible and I'm not nearly powerful enough to do anything about it. I knew defeat was inevitable but I wasn't expecting it to happen that quickly. Obligatory comment here about the barricade system. We shouldn’t have to be planning our wave 6 layout at wave 1 given the limited number of barricade available.

Cosign! I played 10 hours today, I never do that! last games I did that with in one day was Elden Ring and BG3. 3 hours in Coop and 7 hours in Solo play, LOVING IT! And as you said, keep upgrading your stuff and experimenting with stuff and you will be beasting in no time :texfedora:

I have lost 3 games and won 17 games so far, its the same difficulty for me as the past games. Just have to experiment and learn the levels and the best ways to do them. I have found the best way for 2 maps that I can do perfect now. Already looking forward to finding great strategies for the other maps. Keep adding more maps and I will be playing this for hundreds and hundreds of hours, like the older games :)
