Possible change to threads?
I have played all OMD games and loved them all, This game is fine but the random aspect of upgrades and nodes are just a little annoying. I feel this should just be a mode. I would have loves a lot more a mode that allowed you to add a build/load out of threads that would allow you to pick from your list and upgrade after every mission or something. I value the attempt to innovate on the game and i like rouge-lite games but this doesn't quite feel the best to me.

TL:DR: the Random threads is going to get annoying fast, keep it but please make another more contestant mode (loadout for threads? maybe)

No idea if the devs plan on changes for those right now but good feedback to listen to none-the-less especially if it becomes more common to see.

Thank you for responding to my post. I really Hope this game gets better and has a long life. I hope you and the Devs learn and adapt newer and cooler ways to Kill orcs and fun for everyone.

I agree with OP in this post.

What I'd personally want to see is the ability to unlock "Thread Loadout Slots" where we get the ability to precisely choose, something like, 1-4 Threads to start off our run with to create a "Build" that we center our run around which would be strengthened by the rogue-like aspects of this game and create real charm.

Cool system otherwise <3

I agree somewhat, I think. Don't know if the proposed solution is best, but I do find that spending skulls on threads for a *chance* to use them feels a bit disappointing.

Agreed on Thread loadouts. I'd suggest some minimum number required to keep some randomness, but if I'm playing in multiplayer and only have ground traps I'd like to exclude ceiling/wall trap threads. Plus, it would prevent more unlocks further diluting the pool to choose from. As it is I'm hesitant to spend skulls on Threads since it just makes it harder to get what I actually want.

I've also avoided buying some of the threads simple because I don't want them to appear. Having a loadout restrict you to 1 hero specific thread and 1 thread for a specific trap of each type (ceiling/floor/wall) would at least ensure you could get build oriented upgrades while not allowing you to try to create a supertrap.

That's one thing I always hate about certain Roguelites with cards (threads).
Similar to Vampire Survivors, we should be able to disable a certain number of the thread cards that are useless as we unlock more of them so that we actually have a reasonable chance to pick the ones we really care about in a run.
