When does it end?

I just beat my 15th level in a row and it's still asking me to gamble forward.
How many more have I got to go or is it endless?

It is Endless once you have beaten the 4 bosses.

The difficulty keeps ramping up, you can stop whenever you want or just continue to gamble forward and earn more and more skulls.

You max out on skulls at 99,999 and you can not go over. By mission 15 OP is most likely already maxed out on skulls. So there is no reason to keep going other then for the love of the game.

I went until mission 22 but because of the well-known bug I ended it with 493 rift points and 28,000 skulls.

What bug are we talking about? Only one I know of right now is the unkillable trolls if you take the thread that allows the enemy to attack the boom barrel. Other then that and the one that allows them to walk thou your barricades if you have too many. I do not know of any other bugs in the game.

We are (probably were) talking about the bug that any rift point blessing or thread was stacking anytime you did quicksave and reload, while gambling did not give you additional skulls. Hence I had 493 rift points when I ended the run intentionally.
