Denny Crane here. Whenever you start a play session or "missions," you get to chose one from three locations. After each "mission" you get to choose three more , so on and so forth. EVERY time you get the three, at the bottom of the card is a "distortion." This modifies the chosen location and ANY subsequent locations you chose in the future of THAT session of missions. These "distortions" add a negative modifier like extra enemies, less money, or unstable rifts.
In this case, when you chose a card, you WANT it to say "Explosive Surprise" at the bottom of the card. Instead of playing until you get it, I recommend that you start at your castle, check the cards for that particular "distortion" and if it isn't there, log out to the main menu, come back in, check again. Keep doing those steps until the desired "distortion" is on a card for your first mission. Much simpler and easier. Denny Crane.
