Recommended GPU is a RTX 3060
Damn... as someone with a RTX 3070, I feel like by 2025 I'm only qualified for recommended specs of new casual games

Hey. Minimum is GTX 1080 but I have GTX 1660 Ti. What can I expect? :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

On max video settings? Or on low?

I dunno.. On default, I guess. I didn't mess with the graphics. They looked good, and ran smooth, so I just played.

3070 seems to be a mid-tier card in today's market so not terribly excessive. That said I'm still rocking an AMD 580 so it's long past time for me to upgrade!

It's like a 4060ti, it's touching the upper end of graphics cards that don't cost more than 500 bucks. Most of that is marketing working and your preference. If you are fine with 1440 gaming or 1080, it's a strong card for the money. If you care about 4k gaming, you are going to have to spend around 1000 dollars, probably more. At 1080, a 3070 is going to give crazy high frame rates for just about any game that doesn't need 12 or more gb of ram, non really do. The game would have to be terribly optimized to need more than 8gb of graphics ram.

I had a 580 before and could run every game at 1080 pretty close to 60 fps, but I never cared about the highest settings. I usually turned shadows off completely if there was a setting to do so.

What the hell, man? The 4060 won't let you play everything and everywhere at 2k. Unless for you 60fps is the maximum you want to get and of course not max settings. :cq2happy:

OMD3 had a recommended 1060 and for me with my 3070ti the game ran like total a*s on biggest maps with a lot of orcs in play.

Seeing 12gb version of 3060 as recommended in this game doesn't make me think this will run well when the action will really ramp up to the limit.

Still, if the reviews will be good I will get it most likely. Maybe devs will surprise me.

Yeah that's what made the 3070 one of the worst card deals in recent history imo. 1000 euro it costed back then because of the scalping. For the same price you could get a RX6800xt with 16gb vram and not run into the issue of those problems like with Hogwarts Legacy and have 3080 levels of performance.

Two things are true: OMD3 ran bad, as in had optimization issues, when the map was full of enemies. My 3060ti also struggled in those moments.

OMDD recommending 12gb VRAM is concerning, cause not even AAA fps/tps games from 2024 recommended 12gb VRAM (except for 4k resolutions)

You can bet it will run kinda sluggish, in fact in yesterdays solo stream it already felt kinda laggy - seen some stuttering.

Kyle has an older computer and it still was running great despite also streaming on OBS to two different sources (youtube and twitch) - I have a 4060 and ran it on my prior 3060 and had no issues ever with hiccups.

You will be fine. This game optimization is way better than OMD3 was.

How would it Run on a 1080ti and 7th gen I7 - 4 cores? Game seems incredibly steep for an indie game. Doubt many people that know this franchise can actually run this game?

I always look forward to this series but those system requirements are a huge red flag its literally halted my purchase until after release.

I hope its not UE5 Syndrome. If it is, it wasn't worth it and its a hard pass for me.

Game ran fine (not on max settings, most high though) during playtests (not fully optimized compared to release) for me with a 5yo laptop with rtx 2060 (much worse than 1080 ti desktop). You should be fine?
