Agreed, I tried pretty hard to enjoy Strive, but I can't. I really don't want Blazblue Strive to become a reality in the future. Hopefully with Mori gone Arcsys will leave Blazblue alone after this, or better yet sell the IP to Mori at a reasonable price.
It's still much better than the 'Strive' treatment.
At least the gameplay of said roguelite still has the fast pace combat and *adds* some fancy movements instead of butchering returning characters like 'Strive' does.
Based. In terms of the *new* persona fighting game that got leaked in July, P4U was my favorite game and I hate to see that another gorgeous 2D air-dasher series getting castrated like guilty gear.
Kamone is the GOAT. He really knows what he's doing and loves his own game. You know the new Uni is in good hand when you see him beating everyone with solid combos and gameplan, using random selected character on the showcase stream.
Izuka was... tough to play outside of that though.
Simple as.
Entropy Effect has nothing to do with Arc System Works other than granting a license to the IP for 91Act so they can experiment with the franchise more and bring new BlazBlue games like this one (they also made BlazBlue RR for smartphones) while Arc System Works continues to put its focus on Guilty Gear Strive and any other fighters they have been commissioned for.

Saddest cope i've read in a while.
A ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sidescroller roguelite is the best thing you've been given in years lmao.
Hey, at least the next game was actually revived and it's very likely that will eventually arrive on Steam... I a loooooooot of years, but at least it will happen
Ah yes a game where your DP can be thrown is based while a game where your execution is rewarded is cringe
As for what the thread was actually about: I think we're probably not gonna get a new BlazBlue anytime soon. If we do, then idk if it'll be 2D. I really hope it is but ArcSys hasn't made a 2D game in a while. Personally I think it's kinda cool that they've found some new uses for their sprites in spin-off games in other genres. Maybe in the future we'll see some other games like this.
Mori left ArcSys, though he seems to be plotting his own legally distinct BlazBlue to be released in the future. Y'all seem to think that ArcSys making a new BlazBlue would be a problem because you want it to stay all hardcore, and you think ArcSys would go against Mori's vision, making the game appeal to a wider audience.
While I don't think ArcSys will make a new BlazBlue in the near future. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Mori has always been about appealing to a wider audience. Every single BlazBlue game has had controversy over it's lenient input system being made more and more lenient. If BlazBlue continued with Mori, he would've absolutely gone down a similar path to Guilty Gear -Stive-
