Devs... we need to talk...
Ever heard of the phrase "if it aint broke, dont fix it"?
Let me point out examples of how you can apply this phrase going forward:
Corruption effects: the system you had was perfectly fine, you didnt need to remove it for the sake of putting it as a risk for gaining upgrades in gambles. instead, reimplement the system and have said gambles increase corruption
Mind Upgrades: dead cells-style progression system was perfectly fine, didnt need to remove it for the sake of this weird "upgrade slot" system. couldve made them separate systems.
3rd floor: why the hell did you tear out the cute lil side story going on there? it was perfectly fine. revert this change.
Combat: why does the combat feel clunkier? what the hell did you guys do?
Theres so many things you guys improved, but at the same time, it was at the cost of a lot of the good things the game had. please... please take these suggestions into consideration as well as the feedback youve received...

In case you're wondering, the little guy on the third floor is still mentioned.
I remember in the Beta we also couldn't get up there for a while.
Maybe keep progressing.

I have to agree with you I think most of the changes I could deal with but I dont know what they did to the combat but it just feels way slower and clunkier despite having the same moves and characters as the EA is really sad was loving the game before the 1.0 but now it just feels off.

After giving the new update a try, I am pretty disappointed.. Some changes are weird and I could look past them, but the combat is no longer fast and fluid like it was. Maybe it's something they can iron out, but it feels real bad now.

I actually kinda hate almost all of the changes. Like, who asked for all of this? The game was fine back in August/September. The more they rolled out, the less I wanted to play. This update being the worst. Welp, back to playing other games for now haha. Hopefully they revert some stuff and fix others! It was a good game.

well the reviews are going into a downward spiral so maybe? MAYBE? they seriously need to rework and change this entire game tho. the robot hub thing is annoying and stupid too, just give me a menu please

A hub for what exactly? Going to option and start mission and all that?

Probably because a lot of people were complaining about the game being too easy because it's so easy to control your character, and now they added recovery frames everywhere instead of changing enemies from punching bags into something that could realistically threaten you something like ninja gaiden enemies.

It's always the "easy game lol" crowd that makes devs wanna mess with things smh

If they made it a menu there would be no spot to put the story of the game itself. Hubs have been standard for roguelites for years now, and that won't change. What did change was the fact they put the entire hub into a compactor and cut back on it way too much

its not that they completely butchered it, theres still fun to be had here. but theres something to be said about game devs taking something that was perfectly fine and then messing with it for no reason other than "this one guy said this was bad so we need to change it"
the stanley parable ultra deluxe dove into this topic in it's "memory zone" gag. if you havent seen it, i highly recommend at least watching a video showing it, or playing the game yourself, cuz it showcases the cause and effect of listening to the wrong people.
and trust me, coming from a Project Moon fan, I've seen firsthand the results of when that happens...

nah bruh the damage these bosses do is wack xdxd, even without the 0% incrased dmg from enemies, wonder if they even tested the entropic system all the way to 100% before releasing.

boss damage has always been high, dead cells does something similar. prior to 1.0 the moves were all rather easy to dodge though, so it felt like a fair trade (save for the sakura city boss, that ♥♥♥♥♥ and her overblown health bar and damage numbers can go rot in hell), now with how they changed the way characters control (mainly the added recovery frames, from what ive been told) you get hit way more often...
also, the entropic system was one of the things they removed, instead putting the corruption effects as risks in gambles for event spaces. again, the entropy system was fine,

Yeah, not a big fan either. It's expected for things to change from EA to full release, but I was more expecting minor balance changes like buffs/debuffs or additional systems to built on top of what we already had, what they did instead is closer to a full revamp, and unless I missed something I don't think they ever alluded that something this drastic was coming?

Maybe is because I don't fully understand all the systems yet (since they're poorly or not explained at all), but it makes me feel like I have less choices now on how to play. Even accounting for RNG, the old version was consistent : You get tactics whenever you clear a room (if you've filled your Exp bar), after that you get a choice of 3 rooms and what you get out of them is very clear and you weight their benefits against entropy and how you want to build and make a decision. Now I have no idea what's going on, sometimes I get only 1 choice, sometimes I get 2 or 3, sometimes that choice is an upgrade, sometimes it is a room type. I have no idea what determines what and it just makes the run more dependent on RNG than before and more boring since I have less choices to make.

Life essences are fairly useless now given how limited they are and they don't even recover full HP, just up to 100% which barely means anything now that the game is more focused on bloating that Max HP % instead.

There's still that NPC that tracks how many tactics you've acquired but I don't think you get anything from it anymore? The old system was just fine, it made the early game more interesting by making you try new things every run and rewarding you with character unlocks along the way to keep every run fresh.

And I'm not deep enough into it to tell yet, but I believe the old arena system is gone? And in its place is that weird coop system? At least keep the coop separate from the main game and let us keep the old arena, I liked my runs feeding back into it and progressively allowing me to unlock more characters. The game is not nearly popular enough to support an online system that gives you in-game rewards, a lot of people are gonna be missing out on this source of game progression.

And yeah, don't even need to elaborate on the mind training system, everyone already knows why it sucks. It's grindier, it's convoluted, and once again, it gives you less choice of what and when to get.
