My only criticism
I know what I'm about to say is kinda a rogue-like staple, but I'm not a super fan of Potentials being ripped away on death

I understand that it's the whole thing with Rogue-like games, but it seems to be presented like they're somehow permanent

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's possible to get an upgrade that can start you with one/some, since otherwise they're completely random when they appear

Plus it feels weird to have character trademark abilities locked behind RNG

ive finished the game and unlocked all avalible characters i can assure you theres not, not having the core moveset avalible as permanent upgrades is a big issue for me, even as someone who loves roguelikes

the metroidvania part of the game is still only temporary buffs for the current run, no permanent upgrades are obtained

you can get a potential in stage 1 and 2 after you buy the upgrades and after every boss fight except Susanoo

random question, but how'd you obtain the last analyzer?

I tried last night, but I'm assuming you have to beat the ultimate boss in the omega space or something, right?

Yeah, it's pretty rough. Some characters have it harder than others for sure as a result since the attacks and abilities that make them take off are locked behind potentials you may not even get to show up in a run.

Another minor gripe is that I kinda wish the various elemental Tactics were color-coded. Neon Echo, a game that this apes in a number of ways - though I wouldn't go so far as to say it has assets flipped from it (but Kokonoe's water shots are awfully familiar) managed to be pretty clear about what "school" of items you were getting. Granted it matters a bit less here, but it'd still be handy. Also some clearer indicator for Tactics and Potentials you haven't picked yet would be very nice.

Other than that, the game is quite satisfying to play most of the time. Wish it had... ANY of my favs from the BlazBlue character rosterbut here's hoping they show up in the later updates.

Seriously, I need Bang in my veins, stat.

I now just wanna know how to nab more Protocol Analyzers. Only got two and spent em on Ragna and Hakunen, but after that, he's been super stingy with giving them

The only protocol analyzers I got so far were from the first mind test and the first tactic collection sidequest
