WE need more free spirited medias like this
I am sick of the "safe" and "appropriate" content. it makes entertainment predicatble, stale and boring.

Tbh I feel that the only reason you're a female manager is because if it was a male, people would cancel this game. I don't mind either way, but it feels like it. A reflection on our broken social life.

Be more free spirited dammit. Don't act like a church people.
We need more games that are more innappropriate. I miss when games were edgy, fun and innappropriate.

EDIT:
Yes, I have not bought the game. I have never played it, just saw the store page.
By the description, it says "female dormmanager." Which gave the me impression that you play as a female. But I was wrong. Sorry for that.
Buy my point still stands that there is a level of hypocricy (not to be confused by taste. We all have a preference and I stand for that we as people are entitled to it) if there were to be a female or male doing the degeneracy in these games. I personally like it either way, but if a male is disgusting people GENERALLY get more noisy.

I think what people are most concerned about is how these games/shows and other medias affect the general public. Believing it can reflect into actions irl and/or support an increase in disgusting acts. I do NOT stand for degeneracy, harassemnt or any way that hurts people irl. Such is a crime and should be punished accordingly, but I don't think games, hentai or porn etc increases such risks at all. I think poor education is the worse proponent to such.
Imagination and fantasy, to me, IS not a crime. Whatever goes in fantasy, to me, is and should be a free enviroment.

I stick to my stones, but I appreciate a variety of opinions. We are all different after all. This is after all one man's vision. I respect your views and the way you want to live life. I would appreciate you do the same to others.

They changed the protagonist to be female in release version?

Nope, just someone confused, as I was, by the description
"This is a voyeuristic role-playing puzzle game where you play as a female dormitory manager. Your job is to maintain and clean the dormitory, but you can also install hidden cameras and eavesdrop to collect private information. The goal is to seduce the female protagonist using this information."

"you play as a female dormitory manager" implies your character is female in game with that wording, not that you're the manager of a female dormitory....

....the use of female there also is weird but you know, making a point.

OP probably hasn't played or even bought the game, if I were to guess.

Why does this post feel like it will be Exhibit A?

I agree that I miss intentionally edgy, inappropriate humor. It's weird that violence is considered great in games, but anything in a fictionalized inappropriate comedy needs to be censored. I find myself laughing so much at this game and having fun at the same time. It's a relief to play, but it's also disappointing that we have to outsource this sort of entertainment because no American company can get away with it in fear of being cancelled.

Also, you absolutely play as a male in this game. You even raise your Gentleman level. You are the manager of a female dorm, not a female manager of a dorm.

Honestly, even though I enjoyed the game for the gameplay, I don't think we really "need" more entertainment like this. From time to time while play, my friend and I laughed moreso at like "what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ depraved soul would make a game like this, or write dialogue like this." but never was I being a creep in this game going "oh yes truly a return to good media."

Times are changing and we're moving towards a simply more decent world. There never was a need for media of this nature, and there really won't ever be. I mean ♥♥♥♥, porn that caters to gross fetishes already exists.

You are absolutely correct, I have not played this game. Just saw it and got charmed by it.
Main point of this discussion is how sexualized innappropriate stuff is so censored and scrutinized while heavy gore is totally legit. I find it hypocrytical. I want BOTH to be accepted and enjoyed. You don't have to like it, but freedom of fictionalized entertainment is a must for me, no matter the topic.

That is your opinion. And I respect it.
To me, I think porn of "gross" fetishes SHOULD exist. These entertainments SHOULD exist.
Because it is peoples rights to fantazise imo.

To me, a fully "decent" world is a restricted one. And is not accepting of variety.

you know. It's quite depressing that THAT is exactly what people keep writing to people who happens to enjoy pornography, Hentai and innappropriate content.

I actually have a girlfriend I live with. We go to the ramen cafe occassionally, watch movies in the cinema, go down to my home town to relax in a sauna and enjoy walks outside the snow covered fields here in Sweden. I actually bought her a huge dinosaur plush recently as a gift present from the local store, because I love her deeply.

It's like it's this supersition between men that you have to be some basement dwelling NEET if you enjoy smut content. Like if it's a sin if you admit you like porn. Why we keep alienating this is beyond me.

So, I will do the honors and throw the content to you instead. Touch grass or snow, my friend. The world doesn't need to be so simple as you think. The internet is internet. Not existence.

Dude they're not saying it because you like porn and hentai. You're putting that stuff on a pedestal and acting like you're more evolved for enjoying it. Look where you are and tell me these people don't like hentai too.

Here's another example. I can stay awake all night. I get so much work done and have lots of fun. I can handle it, so everyone else should do it too. Right?

Obviously not. I think I can handle it, but what am I handling? It's something that is objectively unhealthy and wisely recognized as such. So I don't parade it around as something that makes me more intelligent or balanced, because it doesn't. And I don't champion this idea that other people should be doing it too, just because I can do it. Likewise, these other people probably have fetishes too. While also understanding what a fetish is. It's not laudable, it's not more mature, it's objectively a preference towards something outside the norm, and many times it's a maladaptive coping strategy to psychological stresses. And don't go down a list of popular fetishes I have now demonized because I'm not here to chart out which ones are "okay" and which ones are too far. People don't really want to know what you're into and I think most people don't feel this need to make others know.

Even beyond all that, you formed this opinion on a single erroneous assumption. You thought that you play as a woman and if you didn't, the game would probably be *big bad trigger worded oh no oh no.* And you see now that you were wrong. So what do you do. Say "I may have overreacted and embarrassed myself, live and learn" or double down like someone who can't challenge themselves (because even though you were wrong you're still right somehow)?

Yeah you got your feelings bothered. Maybe that's the correct response. Maybe that's how a mind tells itself that it needs to do something different.

Wow! This is actually a really fascinating post.
I like where this post is heading. Let's discuss this.

"You're putting that stuff on a pedestal and acting like you're more evolved for enjoying it. Look where you are and tell me these people don't like hentai too. "

I like this one, it was a real brainjerker. Am I more evolved by enjoying it? Hard to say. I am not sure "evolved" would be the right word. But maybe more free in myself? Which I assume can be moved into the term evolved? Maybe you are right!
But, what the the problem of feeling evolved in oneself? Isn't it part healthy to feel evolved, empowered in oneself and most of all, happy?

So yes, I criticize the previous post of "touch grass". I find it ignorant and self demoting.
Whether what you choose to believe in you. I respect it.

"I can stay awake all night. I get so much work done and have lots of fun. I can handle it, so everyone else should do it too. Right?"

An interesting comparison. I can actually feel very relatable to it.
I think it is less about me suggesting that
"others should like what I like because I like it"
rather than;
"others CAN like what I like, because SOMEONE ELSE HAVE THE RIGHT to like it too".

It is hard to explain it without it sounding like a self fulfilling prophecy, It is an ambiguous look that intentionally or unintentionally can be viewed as oppressive, yet I never wanted to oppressive in the first place. Rather, I'd fight against the oppression of wanting to pursue what one desires, no matter what it is granted it doesn't hurt anyone. But hurting or damaging someone is a difficult one to avoid, so the definition of what "hurts" someone should be put into question naturally.

"Obviously not. I think I can handle it, but what am I handling? It's something that is objectively unhealthy and wisely recognized as such. So I don't parade it around as something that makes me more intelligent or balanced, because it doesn't. And I don't champion this idea that other people should be doing it too, just because I can do it."

Health I think is a word that is misinterpreted many times. Based on your logic, how do you think people handle Night shifts at work then?
Believe it or not, I worked in a workplace where there were roughly 8 people working nights combating the difference of about 20 people on day shifts. I have met these people and discussed with them. While some definitely didn't like the idea of night shifts, there are those that definitely did, and seemed healthier for it. Healthy in body, or mind? Maybe so more mind and less in body. But aren't those elements interconnected?
So if I get it right, based on what is healthy or unhealthy, it should be avoided and not spoken of due to the off chance you sound like you "parade" the idea while leaving out the freedom of choice based on what is best for yourself?

I think one should approach it less narrow-mindedly, in my opinion.
For me, school was terribly unhealthy.
