but one I can recommend is "Magical girl Celesphonia" while its not similar to this game it is still a good game

Update: Summer Memories is the most similar game I can find... It's somehow, way more depraved, but the graphics are rougher. It's an interactive eromanga essentially. Winter Memories will hopefully have better graphics. The big caveat is the ecchi stuff is behind an EXE patch, which on SteamDeck/Linux, requires Q4Wine. It's not hard to get working, but it did take me an hour-ish, and on Steam for Chromebook, you're completely SoL.

Nothing comes close to this level of polish, expanse and ecchi. Udonge's Interspecies Cave is similar, but it's much shorter and lacks immersion. Tentikun has a lot of ecchi, but no plot. GalGun Returns is softcore. If you have time and like catgirls, Nekopara is worth a look... but try to go in sequence.

Fallen Ninja is not open world, and has a thin plot, but worth wish-listing if you like cougars. I hear good things about Summer Memories, but it I gave up before finding out, the gameplay is painful and grewling by modern standards.

Artoonu's Cats in Heat is also a good short little game, but the H scenes are not interactive. Mosaique Neko Waifus has is mostly soft. Sakura Hime, Mirror and Gold Drill are worth an honorable mention.

A non porn game I finally bought recently and thought "hey, that reminds me of peeping dorm manager" is "Do Not Feed the Monkeys", you watch various camera feeds and take note of keywords and can search them online in the game to find links to additional information/keywords while managing your time and doing jobs for money in between.

I find it funny how I always see people saying handyman legend is similar to this game. The only thing they have in common is that you set cameras (which are barely used). Other than that is pretty linear and you don't need to be creative and investigative to get the girls, you just keep playing the mini game and sometimes look at the camera, the game does the rest.

I would say games like Village Rhapsody resemble this game more.

Maybe Mr. Wang, in the sense that you spy the girls to either get into their apartments and have unconsented sex with them or gain information to blackmail them. People enjoying that will like the game, but the part where you have to be a bit creative to get the story going isn't present there as everything happens very linearly.
