Fix for YNAB Classic (mobile app) sync issue
Posting this to help anyone else who still uses the mobile app like I do.

Recently I found out that the old mobile app could no longer sync via Dropbox. Apparently this is due to changes to the Dropbox API.

Thankfully I found out from one of the reviews from the legacy Google Play page that someone had patched a version of the APK that allows for syncing with Dropbox again:

You'll need to uninstall the previous version of YNAB Classic and then download and install the patched APK linked in the thread above.

Edit: Added alternate sync method below for reference.

If your mobile and desktop devices are connected to the same network, you can enable Wifi sync on your mobile app, after which you can select 'Sync Now' from the top right menu. You can then press 'Ctrl + Shift + W' on your desktop app. From there you just need to match the IP address and the passcode on the desktop app with the one displayed on your mobile device and click "sync now" to initiate a sync over Wifi.

This post really save me. I'd been trying to use it the hard way for about a year now (record my expense in a free mobile app and re-enter into ynab4 desktop every a couple of days.) Thank you very much.

No problem.

There is another alternate method of syncing as well.

Wifi Sync

Thank you both very much. I just loaded up my YNAB to help with my new finances and hate the model the new version has. You saved me a lot of time. Have some of my points, buy something fancy.

A few days ago, the DropBox Authentication used in the iOS app stopped working.
So, after searching for a bit, I found this post here.

And yes, it works well fro my workflow.
Not having the syncing "on the go" seems no to be any problem at all for me.
Feels a bit like the early 2000's and that is for a me a very nice bonus :)))
