Yep that's right, YNAB is also such a company too. The product key of Steam YNAB 4 is usable on their own site as well. I been using YNAB 4 that I bought off Steam without using STEAM for months.
I'm just annoyed that there's no desktop version already too.
I feel you, the YNAB feels like its in beta with so many features missing. It does look promising but they shouldn't ask us to pay for something that doesn't include everything from YNAB 4 already
This is why I'm making the most of the extended trial, and if it helps me and the features are added in so that spending is in control I will likely save more than the $3.75 a month it costs ($45 per year for us). If it is fairly more functional at the end of the trial then I will keep using it, however if it feels lack luster then I guess I will revert to using YNAB 4 however I do like the goals and all the info on the one screen etc, there a lot of things I think "why didn't you do this with YNAB4?" it also has much better system for credit cards and stuff but I'm not 100% the new "good" justifies the old missing "good", its like the sims 4 scenario in a way
