My Pig and my Barn

Built a Barn. Opened the barn door and went into the barn. Filled the trough with hay. Bought a Pig. Pig shows up on my property. Managed to shove Pig into barn somehow. But cant close barn door so Pig wanders around outside. So far Pig has stayed on property but not sure for how long. So why did I spend so much gold and resources on a barn if I cant keep animals in the barn? I am totally confused and in the dark here. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

Hi hi! I actually went away to harvest wood to build a barn to check out your problem! I purchased a pig as well and after petting it, I clicked on the chicken icon (it will show up when you're close to it at the bottom of your screen next to the health, energy, food status bars) and I managed to assign it to the barn. If you do this, the pig (cows, goats and chickens-if you have a coop/chicken shelter) should roam around, but come back to the barn/coop. Hope that solves your dilemma.

Oh OK. I'll log in and get next to the pig. I did not notice any chicken icon before, but I could have easily not seen it. Thanks for you great answer, I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again

Thanks suny I do not know how I missed it. Vaguely recall thinking game wanted me to build the chicken coop but I never looked at it close enough to ascertain it was an action icon.

No problem!! My Gloucestershire pig looks very cute, and I wouldn't have got it if it wasn't for you! And if you get a horse, the stables are now fixed! I don't see how we can put hay inside, but at least they've given us option to feed the horse when we're close to it :-)
