Lobster catching?

Actually it seems impossible to catch a lobster.
I tried many times and caught lots of pearls (29pcs so far) but not any lobster!
I need 3 of them ot open the last of the four gates.
Does anyone have a practicable solution for this issue?

You can't catch lobster anymore with a fishing pole, only with wooden basket made on workbench or anvil (changed in update). I guess the dev wanted to help us to avoid the mini game :-)
