Hoe is missing

Ive started over several times and there is no hoe in the box for the quest The Road to Brightoak. I read online there is supposed to be one in a box by your workbench on your farm and there is nothing there. How do I get a hoe??

Got the same issue, only pickaxe and axe in box

Haven't had any missing tools... but you *could* build a furnace first (needs stone from pickaxe), and then an anvil (needs stone AND a few iron bars made from the furnace with iron ore. Iron ore can be found in the swamp just south of the starting 'town' of Brightoak.) - both from the workbench.

THEN you can forge copper tools at the anvil. In the furnace now make copper bars from copper ore (a fairly common drop) - will take a fair amount of copper bars, some wood, and a copper tool 'blueprint' you can buy from the blacksmith in Brightoak after you find his hammer in a tree to his west/south by a lakeside campfire.

IF those tools are not included in the wagon with the other tools it looks like the game designers were going for dragging out the starting game - since it will take a fair amount of time to collect ore and make the copper tools (hoe/scythe/watering pot) to farm.

I did a quest for the blacksmith and opened his store and bought one.

its unclear cuz there is nothing in update notes about it or i am blind dunno but after update there will be no full tools from box quest, just axe and pickaxe.
confirmed it today on discord. copper is not that hard to collect but yea its a little meh

I just byuy it.Now hunting is more easy tham before, so hoe is not important.

I actually lost my hoe after combat and had to make myself a new copper hoe. I keep my hoe in a chest now when I am not using it.
